- 6.8 oz Cranberry Juice
- 5.3 oz Caster Sugar
- 3 Star Anise
- 8 Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- ¼ tsp Sichuan Peppercorns
For One Drink (Boulevardier):
- 1 1/4 oz Single Malt Whisky (or use a blend)
- 3/4 oz Select Aperitivo (or use Campari)
- 3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1/2 oz Spiced Cranberry Syrup
For One Drink (Mocktail):
- 1/2 oz Spiced Cranberry Syrup
- 1/4 oz Fresh Ginger Juice
- 1/2 oz Fresh Orange Juice
- 7 oz Tonic Water
Directions
For the Boulevardier
Begin with the syrup. Add the cranberry juice and sugar to a small pan with the spices. Heat over a low heat to dissolve the sugar then increase the heat. Boil for 3-5 minutes or until syrupy then set aside to infuse for 2 hours. Strain and allow to cool before decanting into a bottle and storing in the fridge.
When ready, add a single large ice cube to a glass. In a mixing glass, add 3-4 ice cubes and build the serve in the order it is written. Stir clockwise for 3 seconds then strain into your glass. Garnish with the fruit and spices and serve immediately.
For the Mocktail
Add the syrup, ginger juice & orange juice to a glass with ice, top up with tonic, garnish with cranberries & spices and serve immediately.
