Woodstock Store Manager

This position requires a self-starter with initiative to grow sales and help evolve our brand. Ideally, this person will grow with us, leading to many opportunities to expand their role. This is a full time position in our Woodstock, Vermont store. Weekends and some holiday and evening hours are required. This position will report directly to our Retail Trainer & Interim Sales Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage store operations & staff 
  • Maintain store inventory levels
  • Visual merchandising 
  • Host annual tent sale

Manage Store Operations and Staff

  • Opening and closing duties
  • Cleaning retail store and merchandise
  • Reconcile retail cash drawers at beginning and end of day and notify accounting team of any discrepancies
  • Deliver daily register receipts & cash for deposit to accounting drawer
  • Manage store supplies (bags, receipt paper, tissue, cleaning tools, etc.)
  • Conduct team member reviews 
  • Understand current best practices to evolve retail store ‘handbook’ & develop product knowledge resources for current & future associates
  • Host regular sales trainings with associates to ensure ongoing product knowledge training and implement ways to increase employee engagement such as sales goals and incentives
  • Create systems for better customer management and follow up
  • Encourage a culture of email capture and customer retention through incentives
  • Manage retail calendar to host wheel workshops, Woodstock store events, and promotions

Maintain Store Inventory Levels

  • Manage stock via inventory transfer requests for Woodstock based on sell-through, seasonal promotions and new product introductions
  • Ensure store is well stocked while still maintaining a clean and bright aesthetic

Visual Merchandising

  • Work in tandem with other store manager(s) to ensure floor changes are consistent between locations
  • Follow merchandising calendar for floor changes based on new incoming product and seasonal floor changes
  • Communicate frequently with team to ensure floor changes, products, signage, and customer experience are consistent
  • Cultivate a cohesive customer experience, always thinking of customer perception and implement ways to improve

Host Annual Tent Sale

  • Plan and execute our largest in person annual sale
  • Staffing, budget, local marketing, and execution
