Grapefruit & Ginger Negroni

Ingredients

Ginger Syrup

  • Roughly 4 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

For One Drink

  • about 3/4 oz each of Gin, Sweet Vermouth, Amaro
  • 5 teaspoon Ginger Syrup

1 Piece Grapefruit Peel, oils expressed, to serve.

Ice to serve.

Directions

Begin with the syrup, add all ingredients to a small pan and heat until the sugar is dissolved. Increase the heat and bubble for 3-5 minutes until syrupy. Allow to cool to room temperature then strain and decant into a bottle. Store in the fridge.

When ready, add all ingredients for one drink to a mixing glass with 3 cubes of ice, stir clockwise for 30 seconds then strain into a glass with two ice cubes, express the grapefruit oil on top and serve immediately.
