Product Development and Merchandising Manager

Location: Woodstock, VT

Type: Full-Time

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manage Product Development Timeline
  • Provide Product Performance Analytics
  • Manage Vendor Relations/Onboarding
  • Merchandising
  • Develop Product Knowledge Guides

Manage Product Development Timeline: 

  • Develop a product launch calendar and manage vendor lead times appropriately
  • Prepare for seasonal launches in advance
  • Ensure products are prepared an in-house for product reviews and key meetings
  • Work with marketing team to schedule new product introductions
  • Communicate with sales to prepare clients accordingly

Provide Product Performance Analytics: 

  • Analyze product and category performance
  • Make thoughtful recommendations as to category expansions
  • Make thoughtful recommendations as to product discontinuations
  • Develop a weekly report for product performance, key SKU performance and new introduction metrics

Manage Vendor Relations/Onboarding: 

  • Collect necessary paperwork for all new vendors
  • Organize all catalogs, line sheets, custom pricing etc. for easy reference
  • Maintain an open dialog with all vendors and communicate needs or changes clearly
  • Communicate projections to vendors annually


  • Oversee the maintenance of the product development room
  • Create an organized system for sample storage for easy consideration
  • Develop seasonal displays for upcoming product launches
  • Develop internal and external presentations for upcoming product launches
  • Upkeep and manage sample inventory

Develop Product Knowledge Guides: 

  • Create fact sheets for new and existing products to be used for training and customer awareness
  • Maintain product dimensions, materials, descriptions in an organized format 
  • Communicate new product and selling points effectively to the sales and marketing team


  • 2+ years in product development
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Willingness to travel
