Logistics Manager

Location: Woodstock, VT

Type: Full-Time

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Planning for and managing logistics, inventory, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
  • Directing, optimizing, and coordinating full order cycle
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, retailers, and consumers
    • Improve and streamline logistical processes to support company growth
      • Identify and execute strategies to improve efficiencies 
      • Utilize ERP system to efficiently manage inventory
      • Manage scheduling of warehouse and shipping team to match pace of business
    • Manage all warehouse operations
      • Inventory management both digitally through ERP system and physically organize in the warehouse
      • Communicate with production and purchasing team to ensure inventory maintains optimal levels
      • Supervise product assembly
    • Support shipping and receiving team
      • Order packing supplies and negotiate competitive rates in line with volume growth
      • Manage distribution vendor relationships including UPS and FedEx to maintain shipping costs and negotiate rates as volumes scale
      • Supervise order shipment to ensure on time delivery and minimize shipping damage
      • Handle incoming deliveries for production and retail
    • Collaborate with sales and e-commerce team 
      • Manage customer care including email correspondence directly with customer, prompt handling of customer returns, and reshipment of damaged products
      • Collaborate with sales to ensure orders are shipped correctly and on time
      • Manage new product introductions as it pertains to warehousing, inventory, and logistics
      • Manage trade show transport


    • 3-5 years of experience in logistics role required
    • Must have good verbal and written communication skills to direct employees and prepare reports for upper management
    • Ability to act decisively to resolve problems
    • Must have skills and physical ability to perform any of the duties in the warehousing and distribution departments
    • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and instruct employees
    • Tech savvy and can handle electronic data and correspondence
    • Able to adapt and manage change with a fast-growing company
    • Be able to negotiate and use analytical skills
